Rajkumar Rai was born on Dec 02, 1974 to Jaman Singh Rai and Pushma Devi Rai in Sunsari, Itahari. He is appointed as the Chairman of Film Development Board (FDB) of Nepal by the government of Nepal on June 5, 2015. He lead the Producer Association of Nepal for the consecutive two times elected in the post of President.

Rajkumar Rai gained his reputation in the Nepali Film Industry as a producer from the film “Sangam” on 2000 AD. He has now produced about half dozen of films. Rai also heads his own production company, RC Pictures Pvt Ltd.
